COMPETITIONS
VIDEOMINUTO 2010
The radio station Controradio, the cultural association GRAV, the Luigi Pecci Center of Contemporary Art, in collaboration with the Region Tuscany, City of Prato, township of Prato, and Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze, announce the VIDEOMINUTO 2010 selection of video works with a maximum duration of one minute . The selection is open to all works, original, synthetical, quick, totally free in form and language and without any form of censorship.
The news for 2010 is the introduction of a competition on a subject that will go with our traditional competition "1.000 EUR for 1 Minute". The subject for the edition 2010 is "Diary from the age of permanent present" and it has ispired the author Tommaso Pincio to write a short novel as a kind of introduction to this special competition of Videominuto 2010.
So, there will be two possibilites for participants of Videominuto 2010:
- the competition "1.000 EUR for 1 Minute" (without any given subject)
First Prize: 1.000 EUR

ATTENTION:
The DEADLINE for video entry has been prolonged to Friday 23rd of July 2010!
The works entered for consideration will be selected by a jury to define the participation list. Screening of the selected works will take place during the "Night of the Minutes" at the Luigi Pecci Center for Contemporary Arts in Prato, Italy, in September 2010. The videos in competition will judged by a jury of experts and professionals in the sector and by a "people's jury" whose members are chosen amongst the public. All decisions are final. The participating videos will receive exposure in the national press, television stations and other partner video festivals.
For uncut television broadcasts or DVD publication (but not necessarily to partecipate in our competitions) the video works must contain original music. Videominuto will post on their web site a series of original musical soundtracks for participant use free of charge.
Who wants to partecipate only in our competitions is free to use also non original music.
